Profit Idea #3- Start with A Clean Field

If you did not have a chance to get a pre on your fields before the crop emerges there are still some options.  There are products on the market that can be tank mixed with glyphosate and/or Liberty to provide enhanced control and residual control of tough to kill weeds.  The following tank mix partners work well with glyphosate and Liberty:

-Laudis, Callisto, Impact:  These products all fall into the same general category.  They are PPO inhibitors and all are labeled for over the top applications on corn up to 30" tall.  These products will give you some residual control for broadleafs.  Laudis is the only product that will give you residual control for grasses as well. 

-Resolve Q:  This product has a built in safener that allows application on corn up to 30" tall.  It will give residual control on both broadleaves and grasses.

-Lumax:  Lumax would be a great tank mix partner for those who are trying to accomplish a one pass type of post program very early in the post season.  Lumax will work best on small corn (4-8").  It will provide very good residual for 4-6 weeks.

Profit Idea #4-  Feed Your Crop

If you did not get enough nitrogen applied early, or maybe your population is higher than you were aiming for, you might want to consider adding more fertilizer to your post spray plans.  SRN-28 foliar applied nitrogen is an easy way to accomplish this.

SRN-28 is a product we've worked with for the past couple of seasons.  We have been very satisfied with the results so far.  SRN-28 is applied at a rate of 2-3 gallons per acre and provides 25-35 lbs of nitrogen in a very efficient form.  SRN-28 also tank mixes with virtually every post emerge chemical on the market and can provide enhanced chemical control as well.  SRN-28 and post emerge chemicals have shown a synergistic relationship in respect to weed control.
